Considering enrollment?

Here's answers to some of our most frequently asked questions

WHAT ARE THE PRE-REQUISTITES FOR BECOMING A PERMANENT COSMETIC ARTIST?

License requirements are determined by the state in which you want to practice. Because microblading and permanent makeup are both forms of cosmetic tattooing, they are usually regulated as general tattooing is. If you are an Idaho resident, you will find that the state does not regulate tattoos or body and has no licensing board or issue inspections.

As a result, there currently are no requirements for you to start practicing permanent makeup in the state of Idaho.

If you do not reside, or plan to practice in Idaho, it is your responsibility to check your legal requirements to be able to do so.

More info in other states can be found by reaching out to the local health department and/or occupational licensing.

Whether or not it's necessary in your state, you should still take a bloodborne pathogens course and become fully trained in the art of permanent makeup before you set up shop.

Our fundamental training includes a pre-course and certification in bloodborne pathogens.  â€‹

Otherwise the only pre-requisites would be:

A steady hand

Artistically inclined

A desire to grow and learn in a rapidly growing, exciting field

WILL I BE ABLE TO MAKE A RETURN ON MY INVESTMENT?

A career in Permanent Cosmetics can be highly profitable; but like any skilled trade, it requires time, practice, and dedication.

We are committed to providing you with the strongest education possible, along with the support and tools you need to build a successful business. However, your results will ultimately depend on the time, effort, and consistency you put in after training.

It is important to understand that the is not an "overnight success" industry. Developing your technique, building confidence, and growing a client base all take time. Even experienced artists continue learning and refining their skills. Our instructors don’t just teach, they actively perform permanent makeup services on real clients every day. This means you’re learning real-world techniques, not outdated or theory-based methods.

Permanent Cosmetics is one of the fastest-growing and most in-demand services in the beauty industry. With dedication, continued practice, and a strong work ethic, it can become a highly rewarding and profitable career. Your success is not determined by the class alone, it’s built by what you do with the training afterward.

ANOTHER CLASS I'M LOOKING INTO IS ONLY 2-3 DAYS...WHY THE DIFFERENCE?

Finding the right training matters. How serious are you about your business?

In permanent cosmetics, there is farm ore to learn than just technique... safety, sanitation, contraindications, skin theory, color theory, shaping, design, and client care all play a critical role in your success.  It is simply not realistic to become confident or consistent after only a day or two of training in a new skill at the beginner level. Our goal is to give you the strongest possible foundation so you can continue to grow and refine your skills after class with confidence.

Shortcuts are not the way to build a successful, long term business.

DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE TRAINING?

Yes, private training is available.

All trainings are kept intentionally small (not to exceed 4 students) to ensure a high level of hands-on instruction and individualized support.

Students may train in a private or small group setting depending on scheduling. Both formats are designed to provide a comprehensive, high-quality learning experience, with plenty of one-on-one time with instructors.

Please inquire for current availability.
